While Cape May’s peppy periodical is on a corona-induced hiatus, we are offering classic issues from the Exit Zero archives. It’s always fascinating to look at photographs around town from years ago, as well as ads from businesses that are no longer with us. This week we are heading to June 24, 2005. We devoted quite a few pages to Kathy Messina’s 50th birthday party at the Cove beach. There’s an ad for the short-lived 1919 restaurant, which burst upon the scene at what is now Lucky Bones, but didn’t last long, sadly. There’s a picture of ace surfer Kyle tester (page 38) as a kid; plus lots of fun photos from the Cape May Point fun runs along with an ad for a brand-new guide book called Cool Cape May! Enjoy! We will have Exit Zero weekly back with you as soon as we possibly can. In the meantime, stay safe and healthy everyone!
