Why I Should Go? Because, as the Flying Fish folks say, there’s a “little bit of heart and soul in every object we make.” Owner Sue Lotozo designs and handprints each cool, off-beat shirt. You’ll find original, funky, retro designs on really high-quality garments, many of them celebrating Cape May life and some of its traditions.
Check out the series that honors the town’s memorable beaches — Stegers, the Cove, Poverty and more. And for those of us who miss the iconic Voodoo Tree at Higbee’s Beach (which mysteriously disappeared a couple years ago), the Flying Fish has a beautiful gray shirt memorializing the tree. Veggies, lima beans, mermaids, local places of the past, nature and, of course, sea life are also beautifully represented at the Fish.
The folks here like to keep a one-of-a-kind silk-screened inventory that is always changing, based on creative whims and inspired moments. You’ll also find jewelry, hand-sewn skirts made from their recycled T-shirts, dresses, flip-flops and more.
Insider Tip: If you’re a business owner and want your staff to look comfy and cool, the Flying Fish does wholesale orders. The Exit Zero Store and Gallery, owned by the publishers of this book, gets most of its merchandise printed at Flying Fish Studio.
So many designs, so little time. Suffice to say that the colors are gorgeous, the graphics are beautiful or funny (and sometimes both).
So soft and stretchy, they help put balance in your workout… inspiration to get out of bed and get moving. Ohmmmm…
A mixture of casual and stylish clothing for all ages and occasions. Fun, colorful and comfortable: what else could you possibly want? Unique cover ups for when you’ve had enough sun as cool as your favorite bikini.
HATS AND BAGS
A wide array for girls and guys. From beach totes to fashion bags, embroidered caps to sun hats, it’s all right here.
No sense wearing crazy cool clothes with dull flip-flops. The Fish has chic beachy footwear, and their end of season sale lets you stock up for next summer.
