Why Should I Go? Chef Steve Howard and his wife, pastry chef Carol, came to Cape May via the Plaza Hotel in New York, and they’ve combined big-city quality with small-town atmosphere. Freda’s has a cozy café style that makes for an intimate dining experience. And the food is superb. The Rack of Lamb, stuffed with a layer of chopped pine nuts, feta, and spinach has few equals.
