Why Should I Go? Sometimes the best ideas are the simplest — the late, great Harry Hirsch knew this well. When he opened his first restaurant some 40 years ago, he knew it had to stand out. The food had to taste great and be reasonably priced. The service had to be courteous, but relaxed. It had to be the kind of place where you pull up a chair and stay a while.
In 2010, the Hirsch family introduced a new Cape May eatery — Harry’s Ocean Bar and Grille — named after the family patriarch. It instantly became a hot spot, offering some of Harry’s favorites like chicken pot pie or assorted sliders, and mouth-watering burgers. Harry’s boasts one of Cape May’s largest beer menus, with dozens of bottle and draught selections.
Just feet away from the Atlantic Ocean, Harry’s features a sun-drenched patio bar — a perfect spot to enjoy the daily happy hour drink specials and musical entertainment.
Insider Tip: Visit the Montreal Liquor Store, next door to Harry’s, for a great selection of wines, beers, and spirits.
