Why Should I Go? For most of us, a hot dog isn’t just a favorite meal, it’s a childhood pastime. As kids, we ate them at summer barbeques, or while cheering on our favorite baseball player on a lazy summer afternoon. In Cape May, nostalgia never tasted so good.
HotDog Tommy’s uses only Berks Brand — the official dog of Hershey Park — and it’s served with a touch of class and a lot of laughs. (If you’ve been on the website, you’ve seen the hot dog parody page, which is a hoot.)
Bruce and Deena Carlino put their own spin on the American classic — there is the Doc Dog (chili, yellow mustard and chopped onions), the Jersey Slaw Dog (with cranberry coleslaw and mustard). And to wash it down? Try a classic frozen Coke, frozen Stewart’s Root Beer or Orange Cream. There’s a reason why people line up here.
Insider Tip: Try the Potato Tornado, a swirl of mashed potatoes, cheese, chili and banana peppers — it became a local legend after HotDog Tommy’s opened in 2003.
