Why Should I Go? If you love the jewelry and gifts at the Whale’s Tale, you’ll love sister store Splash. The walls are lined with art, including prints and stained glass, the shelves stocked with Heartwood boxes and beautifully glazed pottery. Splash culls the finest jewelry and locally produced handcrafts in one irresistible collection.
Need a gift with a nautical twist? Check the jewelry case, with its extensive selection of handmade jewelry. You’ll find delicate, gold filigree earrings, and plenty of Cape May diamond necklaces, bracelets and rings.
Need help? The friendly sales staff at Splash takes pride in sharing the stories of each artisan and can help you find the perfect gift for a special occasion or jewelry to make a splash!
Insider Tip: Want to take home a piece of Cape May? Consider pottery by Susan Ross or Michael Owen, a print by Janet Payne, or original designs by Laura McPherson, all of whom live and work in America’s Original Seaside Resort.
Cape May Sea Glass
Splash has the largest selection of Cape May sea glass jewelry anywhere in town, in all kinds of shapes and colors, hand-picked by three of the best sea glass hunters around. Darlene Eldredge is a 12th generation Cape May County resident with a huge collection. Her original designs range from simply elegant to bold and splashy!
Michele Sonner traveled all the way to Balito learn her craft, an ancient technique through which grains of silver and gold are fused onto an object. Her “Michou” collection includes pearlescent bracelets and shimmering silver necklaces.
Second Sunday Gallery Walks in Cape May
Each month Splash participates in this walk, where you can meet local artists and craftspeople, enjoy refreshments and visit six galleries all within walking distance.
